Biography
Anita Skubleny is a professional artist based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, and
takes pride in her Métis heritage. With six years of full-time studio work under
her belt, Anita has established herself with pastel pet portraits and wildlife art,
and is now transitioning into the medium of acrylic or oil paintings and mixed
media.
Anita's artistic style is rooted in capturing the essence of her subject matter,
conveying the feeling, atmosphere, and heart of her subject, with a particular
focus on capturing the spirit in the eyes. In the past year, her attention has been
drawn to creating wildlife portraits in oil, utilizing contemporary realism with
an impressionistic twist, employing bold strokes and a palette of colors inspired
by nature.
Currently working as a Navigator for Master Artists on Mastrius.com, Anita
continually seeks to learn new techniques during the sessions to enhance her
existing artistic practice. Driven by her commitment to personal and professional
growth, she is dedicated to expanding her repertoire and pushing the
boundaries of her art career.
